About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Title Examiner / Title Reader to review and analyze title searches for residential and commercial real estate transactions in New York and New Jersey.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of title matters and can identify issues that may impact insurability or closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and examine title searches for residential and commercial transactions

• Analyze deeds, mortgages, judgments, liens, bankruptcies, tax liens, easements, restrictions, and other title matters

• Identify title defects and underwriting concerns

• Prepare title reports, commitments, and title summaries

• Work with underwriters and attorneys to resolve title issues

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of title documentation

Qualifications

• Previous title reading or title examination experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of New York and/or New Jersey title practices

• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail

• Commercial title experience is a plus

• Understanding of title insurance concepts and underwriting requirements preferred
