Job Overview:
Real Estate Property Management Company We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role is primarily focused on managing Accounts Payable, with occasional tasks related to bank reconciliations and Accounts Receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes and will be able to work independently while collaborating with our U.S.-based team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Create new vendors through Vendor Credentialing by processing W-9 and insurance documents.
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring they meet company policies and are accurate.
- Payments: Prepare and submit payments to vendors on time, using checks, electronic transfers, and other methods as needed.
- Email Management: Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox, making sure all emails are addressed daily.
- Reconciliation: Assist onsite teams with monthly reconciliation of vendor payments and statements.
- Vendor Support: Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Check and Invoice Adjustments: Process void checks and reverse invoices as requested by the accountant.
- Annual Reporting: Prepare and manage annual 1099 forms for vendors.
- Process Expertise: Become an expert in Spend Management processes, including Vendor Compliance, RealPage Payments, and AvidXchange.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to make the Accounts Payable process more efficient and accurate.
- Best Practices: Implement and contribute to the development of effective procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with RealPage is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
